Meet Angela

Hi! I'm Angela, - chatty, quirky, young at heart. I'm obsessed with travel, new locations, fashion, anything vintage, art and design. I was born and raised in the grande city of Houston, Texas.  I graduated high school with no direction and stumbled through my twenties trying different creative outlets. I traveled, explored, and lived in NYC, Sarasota,Fl., and San Diego, Ca.

I was in theater, studied interior design, graphic design, and journalism. I was a bartender, a wedding coordinator, and flea market flip junkie before it became a trend. It wasn't until the birth of my daughter in 2001 and I picked up a camera with an entirely new purpose that I finally knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.

My life began to have purpose and meaning the moment I learned that I was going to be a mother. It is through those eyes that I discovered my passion for photography. It's been a journey with a few bumps and bruises along the way,  but everyone of those bumps that came along led me to where I am today.

Artistic Photography is more than business to me... This is a relationship. My clients often become my friends. I share my stories and I love to know yours. We spend time together, we create together, and if I'm really lucky I get to share in all the important moments. Birth. Love. Graduation.... It's just all part of it.

I have my Master of Photography degree through Professional Photographers of America and am currently working towards my Master Artist Degree and Craftsman Degree .  I speak and judge image competition for PPA affiliate organizations throughout the country. Through continuing my education, participating in print competition, and volunteering my time with professional organizations, I continue to stay true to my craft and better my skill. It is these things that make Artistic Photography what it is today.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you and to create something I know you will cherish

Our Process & Products

Our session fee is an exclusive charge to our client providing professional time to create the work that Artistic Photography has built it's reputation around. Our collections reflect a desire to have custom, quality product that can be passed down for generations.

Artistic Photography takes time to discuss your portrait needs. Not only do we custom style your personal session, but we also take the time to help design your wall space. Our knowledge can help you choose between canvas, framed, or metal and know what sizes and groupings will look best in your personal space.

The session fee is required at the time of booking to reserve your date and time. At the time of booking, we will discuss your personal style and clothing choices/ideas, and what to prepare for and expect to create your custom experience. We will also book your order viewing session at this time. Order viewing sessions are about two weeks after the date of your session. All individuals that will be making decisions in your portrait investment should be present at the order viewing.

An order deposit of half the minimum order is required  on the day of your session. In the days following your session there will be a sneak peek on social media. You are welcome to share this with your friends and family, but please do not crop, remove the Artistic Photography logo, or change the image in any way!

In your order viewing session, we will discuss your needs and wants for your portraits and will help design your walls for you. I ask that you take pictures on your cell phone of the room or rooms that you will be displaying your portraits to help us better visualize the end result. At this time, examples of sizes, papers, albums and all options will be shown.

Artistic Photography offers high quality prints, specialty sizes and shapes, gallery wraps/canvas, metal prints, custom albums, and digital files. We use a high quality lab and your cherished memories are printed and preserved on only the best photo quality paper. We look forward to creating with you!
