SPEAKER INFORMATION
BEHIND THE LENS
Angela Hughes is a Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman, award-winning artist, educator, juror, and national speaker, but beyond every title is a woman who believes deeply in honesty, compassion, growth, and the power of story.
Over the years, she’s learned that the moments that shape us most rarely look polished. They are messy. Uncomfortable. Sometimes painful. And always transformational. Those are the moments she speaks from and creates from, the ones that reveal truth, courage, and purpose.
Sharing those pieces of her journey is raw and vulnerable, but it is also her heart. Angela uses her experiences to connect, to resonate, and to remind others that they are not alone. Her goal is to ignite creativity, confidence, resilience, and hope in both life and art.
Through continued education, image competition, mentoring, and service in professional photographic organizations, Angela stays grounded in growth and committed to giving back. She creates and teaches with authenticity, grace, and purpose, always striving to inspire others to believe in themselves, trust their path, and keep going.

FAILING YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS
Being Vulnerable is a Super Power
Failing Your Way to Success
Featuring an award winning image My Own Prison
So often, the greatest prisons we find ourselves trapped in… are the ones we build within our own minds. Created from fear. From self-doubt. From the weight of “not enough.” My Own Prison was born from a place of compassion, for those fighting battles no one else can see and from the realization that after failure, many of us lock ourselves inside a cycle of defeat, shame, and paralysis.
This program is about breaking free.
In this empowering and raw conversation, we’ll talk about the truth we rarely admit out loud:
that failure isn’t the end… it’s a beginning.
It is uncomfortable. It is messy. But it is also necessary, beautiful, and transformative.
We’ll unpack how:
• Failure shapes creativity, courage, and growth
• Our mindset can trap us or free us
• Perfectionism keeps us frozen
• Self-compassion can unlock forward motion
• Resilience is built, not born
Instead of letting failure define us, we’ll learn how to use it as fuel, rebuild belief in ourselves, and step forward stronger, braver, and more purpose driven than before.
This program isn’t just about success...it’s about healing, growth, mental strength, and rediscovering that we are capable, worthy, and powerful… even after we fall.
